The NZ Lotto and Spark PR came to us to activate the ‘Big Wednesday’ Concept. The prizes that could be won needed to be tangible to an audience in order for them to want to go into the weekly draws. The main consumer here were males.
We set up displays at several male-orientated tradeshows, including Big Boys’ Toys and the Auckland Boat Show. Included in the displays was a luxury car, a boat and pictures of a bach — all things “blokes” might spend their winnings on.
The challenge with this project (and most projects we work on) was getting the balance right between doing too much and not doing enough. Our stand was voted the best at the Auckland Boat Show, so we think we got the balance just right.
